Meet Dan Elfring Master CDT TE

Master Certified Dental Technician in Colorado Springs CO

Dan Elfring is an in-house dental laboratory technician at Pickle Prosthodontics in Colorado Springs. He is able to work directly with patients during all phases of iTeeth™ and denture fabrication.

Dan has 36 years of experience as a dental technician and is Nationally board-certified in Complete Dentures, Dental Implants, Removable Partial Dentures, Ceramics, and Crowns and bridges. Dan is a Master CDT technician and is one of only 41 nationwide among the 5,200 CDTs. Dan also serves as an examiner for the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology.

Dan Elfring retired from the Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 28 years where he was the most senior lab technician in the Air Force. His position was the Command Dental Manager for Air Force Space Command and Manager of Peterson Area Dental Laboratory. CMSgt Elfring also served as the Special Consultant for the Dental Laboratory to the Air Force Surgeon General. CMSgt Elfring first became involved in dental implants in 1993 when he managed the laboratory procedures of the largest DoD implant research project at Travis AFB, CA. Dan’s most recent accomplishment was being awarded the 2015 National Dental Laboratory Technician of the Year by the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL). Congratulations, Dan! Dan has always loved the dental laboratory career field, but since starting to work with dentures, that love has turned to passion. He has trained with some of the best removable technicians in the U.S., Canada, and Europe and continues to find ways to improve his knowledge and skills in removable technology. Dan has also completed Master’s Degrees outside of the dental field (an MBA and a Master’s in Human Resource Management). Dan has also been recognized by the Journal of Dental Technology for his outstanding service. Dan is married to his lovely wife of 29 years and they have 2 wonderful children.
